This is an original WW2 Battledress as worn by a member of the Hastings and. Prince Edward Regiment during WW2. This is the Unit in Farley Mowat's book,'The Regiment'. The Overseas cap is wool with a leather liner, size 7 3/4, dated 1943. It has a couple of previous owners names in it. The regimental cap badge is also attached.

The Battledress jacket is wool construction, size 7 or 5. The wartime regimental flashes are sewn on as well as the 1st Canadian Division red patch. The neck is a button closure. It has a 1944 date stamped inside.

The trousers are of wool construction, with the field dressing pocket on the right hip. The sizing is for 5' 9, 32 waist. They have a 1944 date.

A pair of braces, (post war) are included. There is a small hole on the left knee where they were pinned up and some of the buttons have been replaced.

Also included is the P37 web belt for walking out. A rare and complete display of this distinguished county Regiment. The owners Wartime details are included. (The photos are the same uniform taken in different light settings). (Boots and puttees not included). I will be away from April 30 - May 8. All business will be completed upon my return.
