Vintage Pre War, 1933 to 1941 Stanley Bailey No. 4 Smooth Wood Plane Type 16 in Box. This is thing of beauty.

It did have some wood chips in the throat that fell out when I photographed it. Other than the minor disassembly for photos this plane is as new as the day it left the factory. There is some very minor surface rust on the blade that will easily come off with ultra fine steel wool. The black paint is 100 and will shine up if you want it. I did not clean this plane.

The tote is perfect and the knob shows only a very small indentation near the front. Both have a rich luster and are a good example of the height of Stanleys workmanship.

Ive never seen one this nice. I took as many photos as allowed with out removing the frog. I didnt want to risk buggering up a screw or damaging this great example of Stanley planes. The item "Vintage Pre War Stanley Bailey No.
