Stunning Sue Rioux Kaleidoscope'Sea Parrot' - 3 Changing Wands & Stand Must See. Stunning Sue Rioux Kaleidoscope'Sea Parrot' with 3 Changing Wands & Stand. A super early example of a Kaleidoscope designed by Sue Rioux, American artist, titled'The Sea Parrot'. This experience taught her critical colour theory she uses to this day.
She moved on to creating stained glass art of all kinds for many years. But she found her true niche designing and creating award-winning glass kaleidoscopes. This has three plastic filled wands which enable this piece to be interchangeable and offer a varied view. This is retained on its original wooden stand. As the images show, this piece has two wheels, one with the coloured glass and the other with dried flowers and foilage. Measurements: the blue barrel element is 7inches long (8.75inches with the wheels), 5inches high and 1.5inches wide in the centre part. The wheels are 4.25inches and 3inches in diameter respectively.The wooden stand is 4.25inches high, 4inches long and 3.25inches wide at the bottom. The plastic wands are just over 11inches long.
Weight without packaging: total is 1.046kg - wooden stand is 193g, kaleidoscope is approx 660g, the wands are 193g all together.
