A Rare & Very fine Antique c. 1900 Art Nouveau Bronze and Marble Inkwell. This has a spot or bar for it's writing instrument or pen along with a very fine Bronze body with tree roots for legs moving up to floral work like trees. The marble color and work is fantastic and this piece really typifies the art Nouveau movement.
This is something that would be in Sigried Bings shop in Paris and I believe is made by Henry Vandeveld or another great maker in France around this time period. The marble work so well with the body. The piece measures 6" long at all three sides and stands 6" tall. Great look and piece in great condition with the exception of a few small nicks to the marble at two areas.
