MID CENTURY MODERN TABLE LAMP! DATE : 1954 DIMENSIONS : 30" HIGH x15" WIDE CONDITION : EXCELLENT! This is one of those "once in a lifetime" lamp opportunities. Offered is an iconic mid century lamp which features white iridescent segments in the base. These are early synthetic hybrids of board with plastic and they have a textural pattern which shimmers unlike anything ever made before or since! The look is the epitome of atomic age futurism! Like a tower of light! The photos don't do this piece any justice. These shimmering white panels look like something from the 35th century! We've never encountered another of these lamps. It's very likely the synthetic panels on most of them deteriorated due to climate. This one has lived its life in the desert and extremely low humidity has preserved it in a "almost new" state! The look of this lamp is amazingly timeless!

It looks like something from the future, yet also has echoes of classical styling, with it's repetitive pillars and elegant gold finish! It's simply gorgeous x1000!
