Antique Catholic Christianity Brass Cased Holy Water Abalone Shell MUST SEE

This is a truly superb piece! I can't put into words how beautiful and well made this item is. Pictures also don't do this item any justice!

Acquired from an estate and it is believed that this is late 19th century, possibly early 20th century. Case is made from brass and glass. The shell is sealed in the case, it can be accessed by pulling the crucifix which lifts the lid off.

Shell doesn't move, but it is clear that is has came away slightly from whatever glue was used. Personally, I would leave the item as it stands. Although, it could be a quick fix (DIY). Case measurements: 335 x 250 x 160mm.
