2 Patterns! A Must see Antique French Toile Alsace bedding textile 1800 pi
This piece is damaged, but still areas for reworking or lovely for a timeworn interior This beautiful textile was printed in Alsace and dates c1830. This textile was once part of a bed set and is a gorgeous, backed textile, valance section. This textile is 100% hand stitched and lightly hand quilted with a very thin layer of batting between the layers the tone has aged to the most wonderful pinky red! The backing is a very finely woven cotton, with RARE and wonderful designs, this backing pale blue is from the 18th century, I've never seen another like it!!
This textile is hand stitched at the sides beautiful used as a hanging Dramatic and wonderful Ideal for repurposing (please see my other textiles for more matching pieces to the set) MEASUREMENTS :This textile measures 56 inches wide by 23 inches long CONDITION: I have freshly laundered this textile! There are some stains dotted around on this piece (please use the zoom feature to view the condition closely) The staining appears to be rust and there are some small holes where the rust is found in a couple of the spots. This goes for the front and back the rust stains. This piece has MANY small holes and tiny holes!!! There are areas for reworking, but not without some flaws!!
